Ennen A Burial at Sea -nimellä tunnettu Newhvn saapuu ensimmäiselle Suomen visiitille tuoden shoegaze- ja posthardcore-mausteisen äänivallin resonoimaan pohjoisten leveysasteiden kera. Illan avaa kovassa nousukiidossa oleva Sumea.

Emerging in 2025 from Liverpool, United Kingdom, new hvn blends rock, alternative rock and grunge into a genre-defying sound. From the remains of a post-rock instrumental band, the project new hvn has surfaced, blending their post-rock roots with their shoegaze-gaze and post-hardcore influences.

Having toured the world and released two albums as their former project A Burial at Sea, new hvn have had years of experience on the road, building fanbases up around Ireland, UK, Europe and Asia and have supported bands such as And So I Watch You From Afar, The Ocean, This Will Destroy You. They’ve also made appearances at festivals like ArcTanGent (UK), Post in Paris (FR), Bergmal (SW), and Dunk (BE).

Sumea will open the evening at Bar Loose. Blending witchcraft and occultism with groovy riffs, progressive drumming, and hints of laid-back, bluesy ’60s rock, Sumea delivers a sound that’s both hypnotic and heavy. The band is most definitely worth checking out if you’re a fan of occult doom rock acts like Witchcraft, Graveyard, Pentagram, or Witch Mountain, and you’re eager to hear a fresh approach built on the genre’s classic foundations.
