Beautiful Noise: Tesbih 17 for Bass Clarinet

From Australia, the UK, Sweden, and the United States, a night of contemporary and experimental music, beautiful noise, comes to Bar Loose on Tuesday 30 July. The night features performances by Karen Heath on bass clarinet, piano and vocals (Australia), Amy Catron on cello (USA), Gareth Dylan Smith on drum kit (United Kingdom), and Austina Lee on piano and vocals (USA).

A world premiere of a piece for solo bass clarinet, Tesbih 17, composed by Henrik Denerin (Sweden) will open the night. Full of extended technique, colour, and textures, this beautiful but sometimes brutal piece is a master work in story telling.

Improvisations that experiment with narrative, art, and beautiful noise to follow as well as some solo performances.
