FLOPHOUSE PHONICS:

Flophouse Phonics is roughly seven-piece circus from Helsinki, known for their electrifying blend of holy boogie and controlled chaos. Their sound fuses the playful groove of Black Flag with the seriousness of Earth, Wind & Fire. The Flop Boys label themselves as “the only Finnish major rock band that engages horns and percussion shit”. As vivid as that sounds, it should be added that most people label them as ska-boosted funkish rock’n’roll.

THE HALOPHONES:

Elokuussa 2025 debyyttialbuminsa julkaissut The Halophones on helsinkiläinen garagevaikutteinen indie rock -yhtye, jonka tapahtumarikkaat keikat ovat herättäneet huomiota ulkomailla asti.The Halophonesin groovaavasta livesoitannasta jäävät mieleen dynaamiset rock’n’roll-kitarat, melodiset bassolinjat, laulajan arvaamaton energia, ja kappaleiden tanssittavat koukut. Yhtyeen soundissa voi kuulla muun muassa Arctic Monkeysiä, The Strokesia, Hanoi Rocksia sekä The Stoogesia. Yhtyeen kappaleet ovat saaneet radiosoittoa Iso-Britanniassakin asti, jossa “fonit” soittivat syksyllä loppuunmyydyn klubikeikan ja esiintyivät Trip Out -festivaaleilla Suffolkissa.
