Blow Up That Gramophone, Sonic Rites Events and Bar Loose present a new club series!
Get ready for a night of raw energy and boundary-pushing sounds! The series brings a mix of alternative and underground music to Helsinki, and on 25.4.2026, the legendary Bar Loose will host Author & Punisher (US) and Fange (FRA).
Author & Punisher is an industrial doom and drone-metal one-man project created by Tristan Shone, built around custom-fabricated machines, controllers and speaker systems known as Drone/Dub Machines. These devices draw heavily from industrial automation, robotics and mechanical tools, emphasizing the visceral and tactile relationship between human and machine.
Since forming in 2013 in Brittany, France, FANGE has continually refined their genre-bending sound. Originally rooted in sludge, early releases such as Purge (2016) and Punir (2019) delivered a raw and unrelenting blend of death-metal riffs, harsh noise textures and visceral vocals. Over time, the band embraced drum machines and leaned further into noise and industrial influences.
