LOLA KUMTUS
Lola Kumtus is a Finnish electronic music duo formed in Helsinki in the early 2010s.The band is known for a stripped-back style that blends EBM (Electronic Body Music), synth-punk, and minimal wave. Their music is characterized by raw, hypnotic soundscapes where pulsating basslines meet dark, jagged polyrhythms.

Lola Kumtus released their debut album in 2013; it was a self-titled cassette release that showcased their early style, rooted in minimalist and gritty electronic music. The release quickly garnered attention within European electronic music underground circles and was subsequently reissued on CD in 2014. In the following years, the band expanded its output with releases such as the 2016 album *Mirror Use*— issued exclusively on cassette—which represented a darker, bass-heavy evolution of their sound.

The band’s sound is heavily influenced by early pioneers of EBM and minimal wave, drawing comparisons to acts like Crash Course in Science and Snowy Red. However, the band has forged a distinctive style by utilizing hypnotic rhythms that create an industrial-tinged, trance-like atmosphere. Lola Kumtus has also built a reputation through active touring, performing across Europe and at festivals such as Ombra Festival (Barcelona), Kalabalik på Tyrolen (Sweden), and Young and Cold (Germany). Lola Kumtus has maintained ties to the indie and underground scenes by collaborating with labels such as Barcelona-based Oráculo Records (which released the band’s *This Modern Slave* EP). Their international popularity continues to grow as they reach fans of avant-garde and experimental electronic music around the globe, all while upholding their DIY ethos.

Unerdia on vapautta nauttiva luomakunta kurkottaen kohti yhteyttä harhojen takana, mystinen tanssi jossain symbolisen tietoisuuden matkalla. Ensihenkäys Pohjois-Norjassa 2020, uudestisyntymä nykyisessä muodossaan Helsingin Vallilassa 2023.

Ensimmäinen DIY-pitkäsoitto ’Koi’ julkaistiin loppuvuodesta 2025 digitaalisesti ja pienpainos-vinyylinä. Vahvasti pohjoisen, Finnmarkin, inspiroima levy esitettiin tänä kesänä Unerdian alkulähteillä meren äärellä, Vardøn saarella.

TWILE
Twilen viimeisin albumi Hunger Moon julkaistiin syksyllä 2024 brittiläisen Cruel Nature Recordsin kautta. Levy ammentaa vaikutteita folktronicasta, electronicasta ja trip-hopista.

Hunger Moonin kappaleet rakentuvat kulmikkaista rytmeistä, syntikka- ja kielisoitinkuvioista sekä levollisista vokaaleista. Syntetisaattorivetoiset ‘Water’ ja ‘Come’ kuulostavat tulevan tulevaisuuden maailmasta, jota hallitsee jälkimainingin ilmapiiri. Ne kumpuavat paikasta, jossa tavarat ja kehot ovat hajonneet tai hajoamassa. ’Hunger’ puolestaan ulottaa vaikutteensa aina post-punkiin saakka.

Albumilla ja keikoilla on mukana vokalisti Laura Lehtola, joka on sooloprojektinsa lisäksi tuttu useista kotimaisista yhtyeistä. Lehtolalla on rohkeutta kuulostaa hauraalta sekä taidot kuulostaa vahvalta ja kontrolloidulta.
