Returning to home soil after a year and a half’s break, bursting forth from the festering slime of J\u00e4rvenp\u00e4\u00e4, CORPSESSED plays crushing, earth-shattering death metal ouright OOZING with malevolence. Having been formed in 2007, their sound combines the SUFFOCATING heaviness of doom with the MALIGN atmosphere of black metal, all wrapped in the raw, SUPPURATING essence of ’90s Finnish death metal. Along the years, they’ve released four full-length albums, the latest of which, 2022’s “Succumb to Rot” was one of the year’s most critically acclaimed Finnish death metal releases, and abroad, they’re cemented their place as a monolith in Finnish death metal.

CRYPTORIUM<\/strong><\/div>\n
Formed in Stockholm in 2022, the young guns of CRYPTORIUM are one of Sweden’s most promising torchbearers of death metal. Their sound is a potent blend of the classic ’90s Stockholm buzzsaw sound and nuances inspired by American OSDM legends. In their only three-year-long tenure thus far, they’ve opened for acts such as Grave, Sorcery, and Vomitory, released their debut album “Descent into Lunacy”, and played gigs all across Sweden and one-off gigs elsewhere in the Nordics.

WHISPER <\/strong><\/div>\n
Rising from the cavernous depths of Helsinki, WHISPER plays prog- and melodeath-infused old school death metal, offering up a fresh, new, yet still virulently macabre take on a genre that’s been rotting for decades. Formed in 2023, the band’s two EP’s: “Xenogenesis” and “Gravemind” have received praise for their brutal, yet multidimensional approach. Sometimes referred to as “The Finnish Blood Incantation”, their soundscape could be best described as classic ’90s finnish OSDM atmosphere fused together with an amalgamation of finnish prog, melodic death metal, and more modern cosmic death metal influences.
